CDG or Orly airport: how to get to your hotel in Paris

RER B, line 14, taxi: the options for getting into Paris from Roissy and Orly in 2026, and the easiest route to each of our hotels.
From Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle airport, the easiest way into Paris is the RER B, which runs directly to Gare du Nord, Châtelet-Les Halles and the Latin Quarter in around forty minutes. From Orly, metro line 14 takes you to central Paris with no change in under 40 minutes. In both cases, you need a specific €14 ticket. Taxis, meanwhile, charge a fixed fare depending on which bank of the Seine your hotel is on.
From Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle
The RER B, the most direct option
The RER B links the airport to the heart of Paris, stopping at Gare du Nord, Châtelet-Les Halles, Saint-Michel Notre-Dame, Luxembourg and Denfert-Rochereau, among others. Depending on your hotel, you either get off at the right station or change to the metro.
The journey requires the Paris Région <> Aéroports ticket, at €14 full fare and €7 reduced fare. It is valid on the RER and metro all the way to your final destination. It can be loaded onto a Navigo Easy pass or a smartphone: the standard metro ticket is not accepted for airport journeys.
The Roissybus no longer runs
The Roissybus shuttle between Opéra and the airport stopped running on 28 February 2026. It has been replaced by express line 9517, which links the airport to Saint-Denis Pleyel, where you can connect to metro line 14.
Coming soon: the CDG Express
A direct rail link between Gare de l'Est and the airport, the CDG Express, is scheduled for spring 2027, with a journey time of around 20 minutes. It will be especially handy for travellers staying near Gare de l'Est.
Fixed-fare taxis
Paris taxis charge a fixed price between the airport and Paris, set by prefectoral decree: in 2026, €56 to the Right Bank and €65 to the Left Bank. Only take taxis from the official ranks, and check the fare displayed before setting off.
From Orly
Line 14, straight to the city centre
Since its extension, metro line 14 connects Aéroport d'Orly station to central Paris with no change, in under 40 minutes. It stops at Gare de Lyon, Châtelet, Pyramides, Madeleine and Saint-Lazare, among others. The journey requires the same €14 Paris Région <> Aéroports ticket.
Orlyval and RER B, for the Left Bank
The Orlyval automatic shuttle takes you from the airport to Antony station in a few minutes, where you board the RER B towards Denfert-Rochereau, Luxembourg and Saint-Michel Notre-Dame. This is often the easiest option for the Latin Quarter and the 15th arrondissement.
Fixed-fare taxis
From Orly, the taxi fixed fare is €36 to the Left Bank and €45 to the Right Bank in 2026.

Arriving late or with children
Rail links from the airports stop running around midnight. After that, you can take the Noctilien night buses or a fixed-fare taxi, whose price does not change at night. Remember to let the hotel know your arrival time: most of our hotels have a 24-hour reception, and our digital guest journey lets you get your room without waiting.
For families, children under 4 travel free on Île-de-France public transport if they do not take up a seat, and a reduced fare is available for older children. With several suitcases and a pushchair, a fixed-fare taxi often becomes competitive from three or four travellers. To choose the right room, see our guide to family rooms in Paris.
Arriving before 3 pm? Our hotels store your luggage free of charge until your room is ready, and after check-out until it's time for your flight.
